Bangladesh bowler Al-Amin Hossain is to be sent back home from Australia in a disciplinary action, media reports have said. The ACSU (the ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit) informed the Bangladesh team management of Al-Amin staying outside the team hotel after the 10pm deadline, ESPNcricinfo said on Sunday, quoting team manager Khaled Mahmud. Mahmud told the website that a player could not stay outside after 10pm without the management’s permission. “We were not aware that Al-Amin left the hotel after that time, and were later informed by the ACSU of his transgression. He will be sent home as soon as possible,” he said. Mahmud, however, denied that the suspension had any links with corruption. Al-Amin has not played any ODI for Bangladesh in this World Cup.–bdnews24.com
