An Awami League activist Mominur Rahman, 50, was killed by his rival group at Lashkorpur village under Chaugacha sadar Upazila of Jessore district Friday morning . He is the son of Shamsuddin alias Ismail of Lashkorpur village under Chaugachha Sadar Union of the upazila.
Wife of Mominur Rahman Shefali Begum said that on Friday morning at about 9am , Mominur was cleaning his leased pond next to his house. Meanwhile Eunus son of late Sirajul Islam, under the leadership of Alam and Moshiar, Sumon , Nannu, son of Abu Bakar, and Rasel attacked Mominur and stabbed him by Ramda and Gachida in discreminately causing he was injured seriously . During this time by hearing hue and cry of Mominur . Local peoples came forward and rescued him from there and took him to Chaugachha Upazila Health complex, where the on duty Doctor of the hospital Doctor Subroto Kumar Bagchi declared him dead and said that he died before he was brought to the hospital. Doctor also said that he died due to heavy bleeding.
