Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya has been reported with a suspect bowling action during the first Test against England. Dananjaya was reported by match officials at the end of the match, which England won by 211 runs. They relayed concerns about the legality of his action to the Sri Lanka team management. Under the ICC process, Dananjaya’s bowling action will not be scrutinised further. He is required to undergo testing within the next 14 days. During this period, he is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the rest of the testing are known. At present, he remains in Sri Lanka’s squad for the second Test in Kandy which begins on Wednesday.
