Resident Diplomatic Representative of Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Munir M. Merali called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university recently.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes by the University of Dhaka and the University of Central Asia.
Exchanges of teachers, students and researchers between the two universities were also discussed at the meeting.
They stressed the need for producing skilled nurses to develop health sector in Bangladesh. AKDN representative expressed his willingness toprovide teachers’ and nurses’ training programmes for development of teachingmethodology at different Nursing Institutes.
