The General Meeting of the Spring Semester 2016 – 2017 of the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) was held recently. Vice Chancellor Dr Carmen Z Lamagna presided over the meeting. In connection with conducting Spring Semester 2016 – 2017, teachers and officials were informed about the academic calendar, teaching procedures, related courses, examination and publication of result including rules and regulation of the University.
The Founder Vice President and Treasurer Dr Hasanul A Hasan given valuable speech and necessary directives to the faculty members to co-operate and assist the students to fulfill their academic desire. Deans from different departments also spoke their valuable speech on this occasion.
The meeting emphasizes on running the academic activities in excellent manner and maintaining discipline in campuses during spring semester.
Prior to that General Meeting, an orientation program for the newly enrolled students of Undergraduate and Graduate programs and newly appointed teachers for the Spring Semester 2016-2017 of the University was also held on January 18 at AIUB FBA Building.
Vice President (Academics), Registrar, Dean (Faculty of Engineering), Dean (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), Department Heads, Directors from different department spoke on this occasion highlighted the academic matters, rules and regulations, academic procedures, including registration, examination systems and other academic matters of the University for maintaining the high quality education of international standard of the university to face the global challenges. After the core sessions of the orientation programs the question and answer session was held.
