For his contribution to public relation as well as education, Md. Lutfar Rahman, Director of American International University, Bangladesh (AIUB) was given a ‘Special Honour Award’ by Bangladesh Student Welfare Trust. The organization recently observed its 10th anniversary arranging a seminar and ‘Special Honour Award Ceremony’ at National Press Club in the city.
Lt Col (Rtd) Abu Osman Chowdhury, Executive Director, Board of Governors, Bangladesh Students Welfare Trust and Sector Commander of Liberation war and Administrator of Chandpur Zilla Parishad presided over the event.
Chairman of the BUBT Trust and Educationist Prof Dr Safiq Ahmed Siddiq was present as chief guest and special guests were Prof Dr Abdul Matin Patwari, Former Vice Chancellor BUET, Prof Dr Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University and Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor, World University.
Renowned educationists were given Special honour award on the occasion for their contribution to the education field and for special contribution to socio-economic development of the country.
Other awardees are Prof Dr Nazrul Islam, Vice Chancellor, BUET; Prof Dr Rafiqul Haque, Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh Agriculture University; Prof Dr Ali Ashraf, Vice Chancellor, Comilla University; Prof Dr Shahid Akhter Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dhaka University; Dr MA Halim Patwari, Senate Member, Dhaka University.
CEO of the Trust Nur-e- Alam Talukdar conducted the program.
