Under an agreement between AIUB and BCB, an international standard computer lab with 10 modern computers was established in the academic building of BCB at Mirpur in the city.
Dr Carmen Z Lamagna, Vice Chancellor of AIUB and acting Chief Executive Officer of BCB Nizam Uddin Chowdhury jointly inaugurated the laboratory recently.
AIUB has given emphasis on computer science and Information technology from its inception for which they earned a good reputation at home and abroad. In continuation of this trend and under the mutual co-operation between AIUB and BCB, the selected players (such as National team, BCB Academy players, Pace Foundation players, 19 Team players, 17 Team players, Women Cricket Wing of National players coaching staff and coordinating and operational staff) are enjoying English Language Teaching Program, Leadership Program, Public Awareness Program from AIUB for improvement of their merit and professional experience.
AIUB also offers scholarship for higher studies at undergraduate and graduate level for BCB 6 players and 3 officials. BCB will allow 6 students from AIUB every year for internship program at their offices.
Establishment of such a computer laboratory will help the players and officials of BCB and assist our national development.
