Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil along with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, is currently prepping for her upcoming film Fanne Khan along with Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao.
After Bhushan Kumar took over the production duties of the film from Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment, in collaboration with filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the budget of the film as well as the pay cheques of the actors are being revised. Latest reports suggest that Aishwarya Rai has been asked to slash her fees for the film. However, it is unconfirmed whether Rajkumar and Anil Kapoor have been asked to do the same.
Although most of the film has been filmed, several important sequences, as well as two songs, are yet to be filmed. Speaking to Mid-Day about the same, a source has revealed that though the crew had to receive their payments by early March but they have not received a single penny till now.
Consequently, they have claimed that the crew will not start working on the next schedule until they get paid. Talking about the film, Aishwarya had earlier revealed that she is just a chapter in the film, not a fulcrum. Once the film is out, the audience will get to know why she did why decided to do the film. Interestingly, Fanne Khan will mark the third collaboration of Anil Kapoor. The duo has previously collaborated for films like Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and Taal. Earlier scheduled to hit the screens with Salman Khan starrer Race 3, the film has been further postponed to August 3.
