In compliance with the government policies, Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is carrying out various activities at the directives of the Prime Minister to slow the spread of deadly coronavirus (Covid-19).
Essential healthcare aids, including personal protective equipment (PPE), were transported from Dhaka to Khulna by a BAF Bell-212 helicopter and handed over to Khulna Medical College Hospital’s Director. BAF is spraying germicide liquid in different places of the country, at vehicles and at all gates of BAF bases and units. The Air Force is providing precautionary directions including maintaining social distancing, checking public meetings and excessive public gatherings at mosques.
Different bases and units of Bangladesh Air Force as well as Bangladesh Air Force Women’s Welfare Association (BAFWWA) are distributing essential commodities and sanitizers among the members of low income families near the BAF bases and its surrounding areas as humanitarian assistance to deal with the situation triggered by coronavirus outbreak.
