Air Chief awards BAF colour to different units, squadrons

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc awarded BAF Colour to 9 Squadron, Flight Control Training Unit (FCTU), 1 Field Unit (FU), 208 Maintenance Unit (MU), Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI), Air Defence Operation Center (ADOC), Communication (Unit) and Record Office (RO) at Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar, Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday, say an ISPR release.
The above mentioned Squadrons and Units of BAF were awarded with BAF Colour as the recognition of their contribution to the implementation of Forces Goal-2030.
On his arrival at the parade ground of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar, Chief of Air Staff was cordially received by Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar, Air Vice Marshal M Shafiqul Alam, OSP, BSP, ndc, fawc, psc. During the Colour Award Ceremony, Chief of Air Staff witnessed the parade at the parade ground of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar. The parade was commanded by Group Captain M Mahfuzur Rahman, GUP, psc GD(P).
While addressing to all, Chief of Air Staff recalled the valiant contribution of the members of Bangladesh Air Force during the Liberation War. In his speech, Chief of Air Staff urged all ranks of Bangladesh Air Force to be more skilled and highly professional. He hoped that apart from safeguarding the space of our country, BAF will operate in Space and Beyond in future. He also mentioned that BAF will take leading role for the development of Aviation Industry in Bangladesh.
He also thanked all members of these Squadrons and Units for achieving prestigious BAF colour and advised them to uphold the honour, dignity and pride of BAF colour through the patriotism and professionalism.
Among others, Principal Staff Officers of BAF, Senior Officers of three services and other members of Bangladesh Air Force were present on the occasion.
