Air Chief addresses Mali-bound contingent members

Bangladesh Air Force is on the verge of deploying its contingent for the first time at United Nations Mission in Mali.
Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari briefed the members of the contingent at BAF Base Bashar, Tejgaon on Tuesday.
The Chief of Air Staff advised them to discharge their duties with honesty, professionalism and sincerity and bring honour for Bangladesh Air Force as well as for the country.
He then participated in a special Munajat arranged for success of the contingent.
Among others Principal Staff Officers, Air Officer of BAF Base Bashar and senior BAF officers of Air Headquarters and bases were present in the session.
Sixteen members of the contingent departed for Mali on September 9 as an advanced team, the release said.
A total of 240 BAF members of 2 contingents (Utility Aviation Unit-1 and Airfield Support & Maintenance Unit-1) are proceeding to Mali where BAF is going to deploy 3 X MI-17 helicopters with necessary ground support equipment.
