bdnews24.com :Low-cost carrier Air Arabia has announced its plan to operate flights to Chittagong from UAE’s Ras Al Khaimah starting next month.The company said in a media statement there would be three scheduled flights every week on the route. It will be the airline’s 98th destination worldwide and second in Bangladesh.Air Arabia currently operates 21 flights each week from two UAE destinations to Dhaka.Flights for Chittagong will depart from the Ras Al Khaimah Airport at 01:35am (local time) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.They will reach Chittagong at 08:30am (local time).Return flights from Chittagong will depart at 9:20pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive at Ras Al Khaimah at 00:35am the following day.Air Arabia claims to be the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa.Adel Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said they had been operating flights to Bangladesh since 2007.With the new flights, he said, the airline was “strengthening connectivity with a market that possesses strong growth potential for both tourism and business”. He said thousands of passengers travelling between Bangladesh and UAE every month choose Air Arabia for its affordability.
