Sheikh Arif Bulbon :The title song of Zakir Hossain Raju directed movie Poramon was rendered by Kheya, which became popular to all. Title of the song was Poramon poramon tor premey poramon dibasnishi emon emoni dohon. Her full name is Maliha Tabassum Kheya. She has been affected with bone cancer from 2013. Later she received treatment from CMC Hospital of Chennai in India for treatment. Soon she needs bone transformation. But it takes time because this type of treatment is expensive. Kheya and her family members have taken necessary initiatives in this regard. Though her physical weakness she was not able to perform in stage show but Kheya informed that now she can perform on stage. In 2013, Kheya’s debut solo album Mon Mane Na was released under the banner of CD Choice. Arfin Rumey has coordinated music of that album. Lyrics were written by renowned lyricist including journalist Anurup Aich. All nine songs of the album were melodious.While talking about songs of the album Kheya told this correspondent, “Music is an interesting art. If anybody wants he/she cannot become a singer. Voice is a gift from Allah. Only practice this voice can become melodious. I want to render songs till my death. I want to present some nice songs for the listeners.”In case of basic (original) song, Kheya first rendered playback song in Mostafizur Rahman Manik’s directed movie ‘Kichhu Asha Kichhu Bhalobasha’ under Arfin Rumey’s direction. Later she rendered songs for movie ‘Poramon.’ Therefore, in Zakir Hossain Raju’s movie ‘Onek Sadher Moina’ Kheya’s rendered a song titled ‘Aamar emon bolechhey se tomar premey porechhey’ also became popular to all. Hailed from Araihazar of Narayanganj Kheya now wants to be engaged with music more closely. She requests all to pray for her as she can come back to music arena after getting recovery from her illness. She last performed in a musical programme titled ‘Robir Abir’ on SA TV last week.
