Salim Rahman has been elected as the Chairman and Abu naser Mohammad Yeahea elected as the Vice Chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited AIBL). The 362nd meeting of the Board of Directors assigned them as Chairman and Vice Chairman unanimously, said a press release.
Chairman Salim Rahman hailed from a respectable Muslim family of Chattogram. His father Khalilur Rahman is a prominent businessman and founder of KDS Group, one of the largest industrial groups of the country. Currently Salim Rahman is the Managing Director of KDS Group, which consists of KDS Garments Industries Limited, KDS Accessories Limited, KDS Apparels Limited, KDS Logistics Limited, KDS IDR Limited, KDS Textiles Limited, KYCR Coil Industries Limited, Steel Accessories Limited, KDS Poly Industries Limited. He held the position of Director of another private bank for 15 years before joining as Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited. Salim Rahman has earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the USA.
Newly elected Vice Chairman Abu Naser Mohammad Yeahea was born in a respectable Muslim family from Cumilla. His father A.K.M. Abu Taher was a renowned industrialist and formar Chairman of National Bank Limited. A.N.M. Yeahea entered into business and industrial management from 1993 just after coming back from study in the USA. He is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of Purbachal Steel Mills Limited, Managing Director of Purbachal Dealers Limited, Purbachal Exclusive Limited and Beco Feed Limited. He is also Director of AIBL Capital Market Services Limited and Intech Limited and proprietor of Purbachal Gas Filling. Abu Naser Mohammad Yeahea is associated with many social and welfare organizations.
