Popular TV actress and model Ahona Rahman’s hometown is in Pangasia of Patuakhali. According to the actress, she visited there for few times. Ahona got appreciation from the viewers for acting in
dramas, which scripts were in the languages of Barishal division. Earlier, she got huge appreciation to act in a single episode drama
titled Barishal To Dhaka, directed by Ziaur Rahman Zia. After
airing on Boishakhi TV, the drama was also aired on YouTube channel in June, 2019. The drama was watched by more than 96 lakh viewers till now. Due to corona pandemic, sequel of the drama did not make.
After a break of three years, current month Ahona has been taking part in the shooting of sequel of that drama titled Dhaka To Barishal. Ahona informed that shooting of the drama is going on at Sadarghat Launch Terminal and she is taking part in the shooting on the launch after
starting from Sadarghat Launch Terminal regarding necessity of the story of the drama. As usual, Ziaur Rahman Zia has scripted and is also giving direction of this drama. While talking about acting in the drama, Ahona said, “Story of the drama is basically comedy typed. For this reason, three years ago when I acted in drama Barishal To Dhaka, I got huge appreciation from the viewers during that time. For last few days, there was talking to make sequel of this drama. At last, I am acting in the sequel of this drama. In fact, it is really tough to make perfect accent during talking in regional language. So, now it has become a little bit tough for me. But I am hailed from Barishal, so I have been acting in sequel of the drama having keen interest. All the actors of this drama acted outstandingly well. Director Ziaur Rahman Zia is trying to give his level best effort while making this drama. He is cordially doing his work. I am optimistic about sequel of the drama, which will be aired on Eid-ul-Azha on Boishakhi TV. Story concept of the sequel drama was given by
Tipu Alam as usual.”
Ahona also said that after completing shooting of Dhaka To Barishal, she will also take part in shooting another drama under direction of Anisur Rahman Rajib. Ahona will act opposite Zaher Alvi in this drama. Rakibul Alam Rakib’s Chakorer Prem was Ahona starrer her debut movie. She last acted in PA Kajol directed movie Chokher Dekha.
