Chittagong Bureau :
Some 18 cattle traders had fallen prey of ‘Aggyan Party’ in Katgarh Bazar area in Patenga Thana of the port city yesterday.
The victims were rescued from in an unconscious condition and latter, admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
The traders are Mohammad Mojibul, Abdul Khaleque, Sirajul Islam, Sobhan, Abdul Qaiyyum, Zahidul, Mohammad Sirajul, Zamirul, Hafizul, Shahidul, Reyamil, Mohammad Asad, Babar Ali, Ziaul, Islam, Raju, Kabir Ahmed and Azim.
With the reference of witnesses, Chittagong Medical Hospital assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Pankaj Barua said that the victims became unconscious after having boiled eggs at a cattle market at night.
Later, the other traders rescued them and admitted them at the hospital at 12:15am.
The traders, mostly came from Rajshahi region, are taking medical treatment in 13, 14 and 16wards of the hospital , the ASI added.
Patenga Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Quamrul Islam said fortunately the victims did not lose either money or the cattle.
