A seven-day Agriculture Technology Fair began at Kawkhali upazila headquarters of the district yesterday.
On the occasion, a discussion was held at the venue with Deputy Director of Rangamati Ramoni Kanti Chakma in the chair.
Assistant Director of Rangamati Tarun Kanti Bhattachariya attended the function as the chief guest.
Chairman of Kawkhali Upazila Parishad Chocha Mong Chowdhury, vice Chairman Mong Shew Chowdhury and Aniey Chakma (Kripa) attended the function as special guests.
Organizers of the fair distributed fruits and herbal saplings to the farmers.
Additional Director of Chittagong Hill Tracts region Harunur Rashid said Kawkhali upazila unit of the Directorate of Agriculture Extension (DAE) organized the fair with an object to mitigate food deficiency in the district.
