The Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzak MP visited the museum of about five hundred species of medicinal plants of Joynal Abedin at 10 am on Thursday. He is an ideal farmer of Lakhipur village of Hibbatpur Kholabaria union in Natore Sadar Upazila.
The Minister was accompanied by Md Alhaj Shafiqul Islam Shimul MP of Natore 2 Constituency, Md Shahidul Islam Bakul MP of Natore 1 constituency, Md Ratna Ahmed MP of Natore Naogaon Reserved Women’s Constituency and Mr. Alhaj Shariful Islam Ramzan, General Secretary and Upazila Chairman of District Awami League.
Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzak MP said that the huge amount of Aloe vera are produced in the medicinal village of Lakhipur village. It is a very hopeful medicinal plant. Aloe vera is in great demand in the international market. The crisis of corona infection situation is now over.
Farmers will benefit if they can process and market other herbs including Aloe vera. The government will take all effective steps in the interest of the farmers. He said that effective steps would be taken to start research on medicinal products like paddy, jute and other crops. Later, he joined at the meeting with the farmers of the herbal village at Eidgah ground Amirganj.
