The government through the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) on Monday distributed agricultural equipments among 30 farmers of Sadar upazila in the district at fifty percent subsidized rates.
Sadar Upazila Chairman Ashadul Haque Biswas distributed the equipments as the chief guest among the farmers at a function held on Sadar upazila office premises this afternoon with deputy director of department agriculture extension (DAE) Bibhas Chandra Saha in the chair. Among the distributed equipments are – 20 power trailers, three combine harvester machines, four power thresher machines, one reaper machine and two rice transplanter machines. The government has provided Taka 71 lakh as subsidy to buy this equipment.
Sadar upazila vice-chairman Garib Rouhani Masum, Sadar upazila agriculture officer Talha Zubair Masroor and additional agriculture officer Afrin Binte Aziz, among others, were present.
Farmers are very happy to get equipments at subsidised price.
