The 37th AGM of Meghna Petroleuum Ltd was held in a posh local convention centre of the port city on Saturday last. Chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Meghna Petroleum Ltd AM Bodruddoza presided the meeting.
A large numbers of shareholder attended the AGM . Besides, Directors of MPL viz. Moslehuddin, Mr. Pranab Kumar Ghosh, Md. Iqbal Hossain Apu, Ishtiaq Ahmed Shimul , Director (Marketting) Mir Ali Reza, Secretary of BPC Md. Nurul Amin , Managing director of MPL Dr. Sharif Ashruzzaman and the company secretary Md. Kamrul Hasan were also present in it among higher officials of BPC and MPL.
The shareholders in the meeting hailed the development activities of the company and express future success of the company.
The shareholders also placed different constructive proposals to the management of MPL. The meeting disclosed that company earned 203.47 crores as net profit. The meeting unanimously declared 105% cash dividend for each shareholders for the year 2014-15.
Managing Director of the Company Dr. Shorif Ashrafuzaman said that the existing manpower of this Company is less than other three petroleum marketing Companies but the efficiency and hard work turnover achieved at Tk.14.40 thousand crores during 2014-15 fiscal.
