The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will be held at Radisson Blu Water Garden, a city hotel today. Earlier, the AGM was scheduled to held on July 7 but due to coronavirus outbreak the AGM was not held on that day.
The tenure of BCB led by Nazmul Hassan Papon will come to an end in the October this year. A total of 166 councilors are expected to take part in the AGM. They will produce their expectations and desires in the AGM.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the BCB Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan said, ” We could not arrange the AGM due to limitations of us for last three years. Our target is to stage AGM in July. However, we could not hold the AGM on that time due to coronavirus pandemic. We are prepared to stage the AGM on August 26. Most of the councilors are now staying in Dhaka. I hope that we shall arrange the AGM with a befitting manner and finished the AGM with a happy note.”
Sujan said, ” The BCB has a target to maintain their activities with professionalism. We are trying hard to do that. The councilors will say about the rest of the matter.” He said, ” The agendas will be discussed according to the constitutions of BCB. CEO Reports, Audit Reports and Budget will be presented in the AGM.”
He also said, ” We could not arrange the AGM due to our limitations. We have a lot of activities. However, coronavirus situation also interrupted in our normal activities. We made delay to hold the AGM as everything was not act in favour of us.”
