Actors of the small screen always believe that they must have worked either play or telefilm in Eid. On the other hand, actors of big screen want their acted movie must be released in Eid. As a result, they pass the Eid festival joyfully.
But actor Afzal Sharif is exceptional from them. He always wants to be present in new TVCs on the occasion of every Eid. As a part of its continuation, he performed as a model in a TVC of Shahporan Lungi under Shahriar Rahjman’s direction. Already the TVC has been aired in different satellite channels.
While talking in this regard Afzal Sharif told this correspondent, “Shahriar Rahman has made the TVC sincerely. Its shooting was held at Khatib Khamar Bari in Gazipur. It was made under a nice story and concept. I am getting positive response from the viewers after airing.”
On the occasion of coming Eid, Afzal Sharif acted in Kaisar Ahmed’s Mental, Hanif Shanket’s Bhuleu Beshey Kuley Asha and Saikat’s play Obosheshey Phirey Elo.
Afzal Sharif first performed as a model with singer Ferdous Wahid in a TVC of lozenge. Later he also performed in many TVCs. In 1984, he first attached with acting through Theatre. By this group he first worked in theatre play Jamidar Darpan under Momtaz Uddin Ahmed’s direction. But on TV screen, he got popularity to act in role of Kader in Humayun Ahmed’s serial Bohubrihi.
He got the National Film Award for acting in Bodiul Alam Khokon’s Niswas Aamar Tumi. He also acted in Goutam Ghosh’s movie Padma Nodir Majhi.
