Evergreen actor of the silver screen Afzal Hossain and noted actor Tushar Khan worked together in a drama after 27 years. Tushar acted with Afzal for upcoming episode of Channel i’s Afzal starrer and directed popular series Chhoto Kaku. Adaptation from Faridur Reza Sagor written story, Masum Reza has written script for seven-episode series titled Syedpurer Syed Shaheb.
Both Tushar and Afzal worked together in role of two friends in noted film director Syed Salauddin Zaki directed movie. Later, though Tushar performed as a model under Afzal Hossain’s direction but they couldn’t get scope to act together. In drama Akash Kushum, Afzal and Shabnaz acted in roles of Akash and Kushum respectively. While talking about this time’s series, Afzal Hossain said, “We started our work with this series before starting corona. We got the opportunity to work only for two days. After a break of two years, we again started its shooting. I observed that acting in Chhoto Kaku everybody feels delighted, which has established now-a-days. Full unit works with picnic mood during shooting of Chhoto Kaku series. Basically everybody works joyfully. Due to necessity of the story, Tushar acted in this series.”
Tushar Khan shared his feelings by this way, “Though I have objection not to take part in shooting regarding doctor’s order but I couldn’t disagree to act under Afzal Hossain Bhai’s direction and also to get him as co-actor on the screen. For this reason, I acted in this drama. I played role of a comedian in this drama. I really felt happy to share the screen with him after many years. I worked in this series only to keep request from Afzal Bhai despite having doctor’s objection not to acting. I am really grateful to Afzal Bhai. I will take rest for some days now.”
On Channel i, Afzal Hossain will also been seen in Chayanika Chowdhury’s drama Prothom Prothom Prem, Afzal said.
