Kriti Sanon has had a busy year and she continues to keep at it. The trailer of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat was recently released.
The actress, who plays Sadashivrau Bhau’s wife Parvatibai, is extremely excited about emulating a powerful Maratha woman, who also stepped on to the war ground with her husband against Ahmad Shah Abdali.
Kriti, currently shooting Laxman Utekar’s Mimi in Rajasthan, told us, “It’s my first ever proper historical drama. Housefull4 had a period angle but that was in a funny zone. This is as serious as it gets and it’s from Ashu sir’s stable. The scale, naturally, is high. It gives me goose-flesh that the character I play, which is Parvatibai, existed once upon a time. I hope I have done justice to her. The way Ashu sir creates everything is beyond brilliant. You get transported into another time zone automatically as you step on to the set.”
