Two decades ago, Nurul Huda occupied the land of Dewai Singh Tripura in Sorai Union of Lama Upazila of Bandarban near Lohagara in Chittagong.
At that time, Dewai Singh took four big oxen from the land and slaughtered them and distributed the meat among the terrorists. At present, Nurul Huda’s son Md Ershad Prakash (alias Kirich Ershad) has been occupying a school teacher’s shop and house in the same area for a long time.
The teacher’s name is Mursheda Begum. Although Dewai Singh Tripura fled for life for fear of terrorists, the teacher is lobbying in various places to rescue her shop-house. She submitted a written application to the local union council.
But while Ershad was on trial in front of the local chairman, on May 26, 2022, terrorists attacked Mursheda Begum’s family. The teacher was extremely disappointed. It has been found that the house of Md. Ershad is in Putibila of Lohagara upazila of Chittagong adjoining Lama upazila.
He used to attack people with swords. For this reason, the area is known as ‘KirichErshad’. On condition of anonymity, several locals said that Ershad has agangin Paharchanda village, a remote area of Putibila. Those who often rob at night in different areas of Lohagara.
According to reliable sources, Ershad has a number of local weapons besides a few swords. This is because no one dares speak against him in the area.
Lama Sorai UP chairman Md. Idris said that in the light of Mursheda Begum’s request, arbitration was arranged in the village court with both the parties. But at the last stage of the arbitration, without any word, Ershad attacked the candidate for justice in front of all of us.
He lamented that two former UP chairmen and union Awami League presidents were present with him in the arbitration. He expressed his displeasure and said that Ershadnot only attacked the plaintiff but also attacked all of us and insulted utterly.
Witnesses said when Ershad and his associates went to killMursheda Begum’s brother, chairman Md. Idris stopped them. At one point, they even punched the chairman in the face.
When Ershad was askedhe denied all the allegations against him.
