After returning country Mamo joins shooting

National Film Award winner actress Jakia Bari Mamo had to stay in Nepal and Thailand for some days at a time.
After completing shooting of a serial and five faction plays Mamo has returned to Bangladesh. After returning she yesterday took part in shooting of Maasranga TV’s ongoing serial Ghore Baire under Nazrul Islam Raju’s direction at Khonikaloy in the capital’s Uttara area. Today she will also took part in its shooting, Mamo told this correspondent yesterday.
She said, “Acting in serial Ghore Baire, I am getting positive response from the viewers. Apurba is acting against me in this serial. Raju Bhai is a talented director. He works sincerely. I observed one thing in his shooting unit that he does not give any pressure to actors. He receives works giving comfort to them. So, after returning country I could easily take part in shooting of this serial. Story of the serial is a reflection of our society so viewers are enjoying this serial.”
Mamo also said in Nepal, she took part in Syed Shakil’s 52-episode serial Nepal Rohosshyo.
After returning country she again went to Nepal for taking part in shooting of Anjan Aich’s three faction plays and Dipu Hazra’s two plays titled Abola Ebong and City of Love where Aparna and Jovan were co-artistes of Mamo.
Meanwhile, Mamo has already finished shooting of Raihan Rafi’s second movie Dohon. She played in role of a journalist in this movie.
Mamo’s another movie Swapnobari, directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu, is waiting to release. Anisur Rahman Milon acted against her in this movie. This pair earlier worked together in Rakibul Alam Rokib’s Prem Korbo Tomar Sathey.
Mamo acted first movie was Tauqir Ahmed’s Daruchini Dwip. She got the National Film Award for this movie.
Mamo also came into limelight to act against Arifin Shuvo in Shihab Shahin’s movie Chhuye Dile Mon. Her last acted movie was Arun Chowdhury’s Altabanu.
