Tuesday marks the twenty death anniversary of the eminent politician of BNP, and former member of the Parliament Afsar Ahmed Siddique.
Considered as one of the popular politician who had sturdy voice against Dictator Hossain Mohammad Ersahd in 1982. Afsar Ahmed died of cancer on October 12, 2001. He was born in a eminent Muslim family of Jessore on 15 March in 1935.
Like the previous year, Ahmed’s death anniversary is being observed by Afsar Ahmed memorial foundation through a limited arrangement, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Several organizations going to honour the eminent politician through different programs across the country on the day.
