Afsana Mimi makes telefilm after eight years

A special telefilm titled Rupkotha Noi has been made to focus on the successes of the grassroots people under 10 development activities taken by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Scripted by Harun Rashid the telefilm has been made by noted actress and director Afsana Mimi.
Mimi informed that shooting of the telefilm has already been done in different locations in Manikganj at the end of month of Ramzan, before Eid. Recently demised noted actor Nazmul Huda Bachchu, Khairul Alam Sabuj, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Azizul Hakim, Azad Abul Kalam, Momena Chowdhury, Sayeed Babu, Sanjida Preety, Shormimala, Jahangir, Sangeeta, Riad, students of Afsana Mimi’s institution BFTA’s Arian, Hamid, Sajib, Kamal, Motin, Raju, Milon, Zahid, Pushpita and student of Ichchhetola Pritha acted in different roles in the telefilm.
While talking about making the telefilm Afsana Mimi told this correspondent, “While shooting there was month of Ramzan and there were also natural disasters like heavy rains I had to struggle a lot for making the telefilm. I always prefer to make single episode play or telefilm. So I have enjoyed a lot to make this telefilm. When I seated on editing panel I found if I could do much better work. At last, I am very much optimistic about this work.”
Within this month any time the telefilm Rupkotha Noi will be telecasted on Bangladesh Television, she added.
Afsana Mimi directed first TV play was Off Beat. Later she made several numbers of faction plays. Lastly she made a play titled Eka Othoba Koyekjon casting Jon Kabir, Intekhab Dinar and Sanjida Preety in 2009. It was aired on ETV.
 Mimi’s another mentionable made play was Sokhi casting Suborna Mustafa and Afroza Banu. Her last directed serial was Shatti Tarar Timir.
In Eid-ul-Fitr, Afsana Mimi was seen to work in two plays – Arif Khan’s Dorjar Oparey and Chayanika Chowdhury’s Bhalobeshechhiley and her telefilm Firey Ashar Golpo.
