Noted actress and director Afsana Mimi is
waiting to get release dates of her acted two films. These two films are Giasuddin Selim
directed Paap Punnyo and Patalghor. Paap Punnyo has already got censor Board’s clearance and the movie is expected to release in February 2022. Mimi played in pivotal roles in these two movies. While talking about releasing of her acted two movies Afsana Mimi said, “After completed,
I did not get the scope to watch either Paap Punnyo or Patalghor. For me, to act in Paap Punnyo was really a delightful matter because I wanted to act opposite Chanchal Chowdhury. Chanchal had also interest to work with me on the screen.
Our wants became fulfilled to work together in this film. On the other hand, with Siam, I acted in a drama directed by Chayanika Chowdhury.
I thought my acting was not up to the mark in the drama. Later, when I met Siam I told him: ‘We have to do a better work.’ Then I got the
opportunity to work with Siam in Paap Punnyo. We worked in Chandpur. We took part in
shooting of the film delightfully.” “I acted in Patalghor taking part in shooting in Pangsha, Rajbari last year. I liked Nur Imran Mithu directed movie Komola Rocket. When that Mithu requested me to work in his movie Patalghor, I could not refuse him. Nusraat Faria and I acted in two important roles in this film. Basically story of this film is based on our characters. Faria is an
intelligent actress. In fact, I am very much optimistic about these two films,” Mimi also said. Afsana Mimi also said upcoming year she will work in another movie. In the meantime, she is talking about to work in web series. If everything remains okay, Mimi will start to work in a web series.
