Noted actress and director Afsana Mimi arranged Firey Dekha Amor Ekush to mark the International Mother Language Day on first hour February 21 at Rabindra Smarani in the capital’s Uttara area for the first time.
Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Atikul Islam, noted film actors and Parliament Members Faruk and Suborna Mustafa, Ekushey Award winner veteran actress Dilara Zaman, Sharmily Ahmed, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Mosharraf Karim, Shabnaz-Naim, Tahmina Sultana Mou, Sushama Sarkar, Shamol Mawla, among others, attended the event. Liton Kar coordinated the whole event to co-operate Afsana Mimi.
Children of different sectors of Uttara along with their guardians also participated in the event.
Afsana Mimi said, “Basically to spread the ideology of Ekushey among the children I have arranged this programme. I believe attending this type of programme patriotism will be increased among the children and new generation.”
