Afghan Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Rahim Oraz made a courtesy call on Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor at his secretariat office here on Sunday. They discussed bilateral issues of the two countries, said an official press release of the ministry.
Cultural Affairs advisor to the ministry Mir Jahurul Islam was also present.
During the meeting, the minister said Afghanistan is a neighbour and friendly country of Bangladesh and an excellent friendly bilateral relationship exists between the two countries. The two countries can strengthen their relationship further in respect of trade, culture and education through bilateral cooperation, the minister said.
Bangladesh has signed cultural agreement with 39 countries and Afghanistan is one of those countries, he said and mentioned that Bangladesh has no cultural exchange agreement with Afghanistan and initiative has been taken in this regard.
