Afghanistan Cricket team arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the city on Friday to play a Test match against Bangladesh and a Tri-Nation Twenty20 Series at the different venues in the country. Hosts Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are the other teams, which will compete in the Tri-Nation Twenty20 Series.
After arrived at the HSIA, members of Afghanistan team rest a while and then they reached Chattogram by Aeroplane on the same day.
Afghanistan will take part in a lone Test match against their counterpart Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, the port city of the country from September 5 to September 9. Before taking part in the one-of Test match against the Tigers, Afghanistan will play a two-dayer against Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram on September 1-2.
The league phase of the Tri-Nation Twenty20 Series will start from September 11 and come to an end on September 21. The participating three teams will face each other twice. The league matches will be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS).
Top two teams will get tickets of the final, which will be taken place at the SBNCS on September 24.
