Afghan captain Nabi takes Asia Cup as challenge

Afghan skipper Mohammad Nabi said they would play in the Asia Cup taking it as a challenge as he said his side always have faced different tough challenges in the past.
He was talking to reporters on Monday at a city hotel.
The 29-year-old Nabi thinks that to play in the Asia Cup as a new team is a big opportunity for them and they want to make the best use of the opportunity.
“Definitely it is a big opportunity, we have some talented players in the team.. as we have been playing cricket quite a long time, so we will take the to field using our previous experiences and will try to do well in the tournament,” said the Afghan skipper.
Nabi is upbeat to make the best use of the opportunity against the big teams like India Pakistan and Bangladesh in the tournament. “As all their rivals teams are strong so we have to create opportunities .. we have to improve against them on the ground,” he added.
The right handed Afghan batsman said the Asia Cup is a perfect platform for them to prepare ahead of the ICC World Cup as the experience of playing against the big sides would help them in the World Cup.
