Promising actress and model Affri Selina Affri is working in both big and small screens simultaneously. She started her journey in media since 2011. She has been stepping forward slightly inaudibly. Her glamorous presence as a model in a video song titled Bhalobashi rendered by Fahmida Nabi and Bappa Mazumder in last Valentine’s Day attracted the viewers’ attention.
Her outstanding performance in that video song created hype among the viewers. As a result, she got the opportunity to perform as model in Asif Akbar and Protik Hasan’s two music videos recently. She is also in limelight to perform in Asif Akbar’s video song Agun. Saikat Nasir has made the video.
In the beginning of her career, Affri was brand ambassador of Women’s World in 2011. Under Naim Talukder’s direction she acted against Kolkata’s Indranil in movie Annyopoth. Due to unknown reason, after finishing 50 per cent work of that movie it remains stalled. Later she also acted in Monirul Islam Sohel’s Swapno Je Tui and Kolkata’s movie Smritimala. She is waiting releasing of her acted movie Nil Foring directed by Idris Haider. Few days ago, she has finished its dubbing. She is expecting Nil Foring will be released in coming Eid-ul-Azha.
While talking about her career Affri told this correspondent, “I am working in small and big screens in parallel way. When I work I totally concentrate on it. But I want viewers can get the scope to watch my first acted movie Annyopoth. In fact, it was my first movie and became a nice work.”
It is mentioned that Affri first performed as a model in a TV commercial of Ifad biscuit under Gazi Shuvro’s direction. Later she also performed in several TVCs. She lastly performed in Russell Shikder directed a TVC of LD Smart TV.
Last year Affri got ATN Bangla’s Star Award as Best Model. Affri’s father’s residence is in Hyderabad, India. She was born in Agra. But she was brought up in Dhaka.
