Education Ministry has directed the concerned department to abrogate the affiliations of six educational institutions of Chittagong for alleged excess realization of admission fees from the students.
Besides , show cause notices have been issued to more five schools to explain why their affiliations will not be cancelled. In connection, Chittagong Education Board received the order of the concerned ministry on Thursday.
Board sources said. The schools so abrogated their affiliations are – Meron Sun School & College, Merit Bangladesh School and college, Chittagong Ideal High school, National English school, Bangladesh Elementary School and Mirza Ahmed Isphani School. Meanwhile Chitagong Cantonment Public college, Chitagong Cantonment English school, Halishahar Cantonment Public School, Bangladesh Navy School & college and BAF Shahin college were given show cause notice .
According to regulations of Private School/College policy-2016, all private schools& colleges under metropolitan city including MPO and non-MPO enlisted schools have right to realize only Tk.200 as cost of admission form and session fees not more than Tk.3000 in metropolitan areas, sources said.
