Sports Reporter :The AFC Under-19 Championship Qualifiers begins today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. In the day’s first match, Uzbekistan Under-19 Football team will face Bhutan Under-19 Football team at 3.00 pm while in the day’s second match, Bangladesh Under-19 Football team will meet Sri Lanka Under-19 Football team at 6.00 pm.A total of four teams will participate in the football competition. They are: Bangladesh Under-19 Football team, Uzbekistan Under-19 Football team, Sri Lanka Under-19 Football team and Bhutan Under-19 Football team.Regarding the ensuing football competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Thursday.Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-19 Football team Saiful Bari Titu, Captain of Bangladesh Under-19 Football team Masuk Miah Zoni, Head Coach of Sri Lanka Under-19 Football team Sumith Walpola, Captain of Sri Lanka Under-19 Football team Danushka Madushanka, Head Coach of Uzbekistan Under-19 Football team Abduraimov Jasur, Captain of Uzbekistan Under-19 Football team Kobilov Islomion, Head Coach of Bhutan Under-19 Football team Chokey Nima, Captain of Bhutan Under-19 Football team Choki Wangchuk spoke at the conference.Saiful Bari Titu said, ” We have taken a three-month practice session. We took part in SAFF Under-19 Football Tournament in Nepal recently. We played only one practice match. If we become runners-up in the meet, we shall get chance to play in the next round. We have an advantages that we are playing in our home ground and a good number of crowd will support us.”Sumith Walpola said, ” All the players of our teams are school going boys. We initially picked up 200 boys. Then we finally selected 20 booters. We have three-month-long practice session. We finished fourth in the recently concluded Asian School Football Tournament.”Jasur said, ” We have a good preparation. Hoping that we shall successfully complete our mission and qualify in the next round.” Chokey Nima said, ” This is a vital tournament for us. We are not worried about our opponents. We are worried that what kind of performance we shall show in the competition.”The rates of the tickets are: Gallery (East & West)-Tk 30 each, Gallery (VIP)- Tk 50 each.
