The Aeronautical Science Department of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) celebrated the founding anniversary at the university on September 1, said a press release.
The department marked the day as ‘Aero Day’ which was celebrated through different contests and Olympiad with the participation of around 100 students.
Acting commandant of MIST Brigadier General K M Salzar Hossain joined the the prize giving ceremony as the chief guest.
“You (students) are the future aircraft designers of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi indigenous aircraft will be developed in future where you will implement your knowledge and experience,” he said.
The Aeronautical Engineering Department of MIST started its journey in January 2009.
