An advocacy and action plan meeting was held at Upazila Health Complex on Tuesday on the occasion of National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign-2021. Representatives of various classes and professions present at the meeting were called upon to campaign for a 100 per cent success rate of vitamin ‘A’ plus capsule feeding in compliance with health norms in the Corona situation.
Upazila Health Officer FA Asma Khan presided over the meeting where the chief guest was Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mumtaz Mahal. Speakers were freedom fighter Fazlur Rahman Fantu, family planning officer Dilara Khatun, Pediatrician Dr Abdul Baten, RMO Dr Shafiqul Islam Shamim, upazila Primary education officer Mrinal Kanti Sarkar and press club president Swapan Kumar Kundu. It is learned that from June 5 to June 19, a total of (28,940 3995) = 32,935 children from 6 months to 59 months will be fed Vitamin A Plus Capsules in 16 centers.
