Staff Reporter :Bangladesh Railway (BR) will start selling train tickets in advance from September 26 in order to facilitate the journey of home-bound people ahead of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja.Railway Minister Mazibul Hoque made the announcement in a press briefing at his office on Tuesday afternoon.Passengers can buy the tickets in advance both online and from the ticket counters, the Minister said.Advance train tickets for Eid-ul-Azha will be on sale from September 26 to 30. The return tickets will be available from October 3, he informed. On September 26 tickets for October 1 will be sold while tickets for October 2,3, 4 and 5 will be sold on September 27, 28, 29 and 30 respectively, said the Minister.Twenty-five per cent of tickets of all the inter-city trains can be bought online.The Minister said there would be five special trains to facilitate the holidaymakers during Eid.
