Keeping harmony with Saudi Arabia, advance holy Ramzan began from Monday and devotees began fasting in 40 villages under Chandpur district said the devotees.
Most of these villages are in Hajiganj Upazila of the district.
The rest of the villages are in Faridganj, Matlab Uttar, Kochua and Shahrasti Upazilas of the district-said the devotees and followers adding that they are followers of the renowned Pir Maulana Mohammad Ishaque of Shadra village under Hajiganj Upazila of the district who died long ago leaving behind hundreds and thousands of his disciples/ followers in the above mentioned villages like them to follow his tenets strictly and properly as per the tenets of Saudi Arabia especially regarding observance of holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitre and also Eid-ul-Azha.
According to the late Pir Shaheb’s successor (son)late Maulana Abu Jofar Md Abdul Hye’s son- Maulana Mohammad Arif , Abu Bakkar and many followers and devotees, keeping harmony with the people of Saudi Arabia, they have started fasting of holy Ramzan from today, Monday.
Contacted, Maulana Mohammad Arif and many followers of late Pir Maulana Md Ishaque told this correspondent today Monday that as the moon of Ramzan month was sighted in Saudi Arabiya on Sunday and holy Ramzan began from Monday in Saudi Arabiya, keeping harmony with people of Saudi Arabia, they also started fasting from Monday. In this way, they added, they would also celebrate holy Eid ul Fitre one day ahead of the devotees of Bangladesh.
