A unscrupulous gang are allegedly involved with the manufacturing of adulterated ghee in the name of Bagabari Ghee at Chittagong ahead of coming Eid festival and Ramadan month. Usually the religious Muslim use pure Ghee during the holy month in every foods.
With this advantage of devout muslims , a dishonest gang is manufacturing adulterated ghee in the city. As a part of police drive against these unscrupulous gang, police forces recovered huge raw materials, packaging containers, pet bottles , chemical of flavor and manufacturing equipments from a house of Mohammadpur area under Panchalaish thana in city on Friday night.
With the adv antage of holy Ramadan and Eid festival, the gang was planning to produce adulterated ghee with level of popular brand of Bagabari ghee of Pabna.Police also recovered the levels of Bagabari Pure Ghee. Panchalaish thana police sources said one Mujib and Jahangir rented the house of Mubarak Ali sowdagar of Tunu Munshir Bari of Mohammad pur area from 6 months ago and installed temporary ghee factory . Sensing the presence of police forces, the tenants Mujib and Jahangir quickly escaped from the spot . Police recovered 376 plastic containers of 100 gms each, 230 of 250 grms, 170 of 450 grms, 72 of 200 gms and huge small types of plastic pets, 1200 liters liquid ghee, 3 plastic drums, 4 plastic containers, onetin drum, ghee manufacturing machine and huge quantities of Bagabari ghee level from the spot. Police drive against the spurious ghee manufacturers is remain continue during the month in the city specially in chaktai, korbani gonj, pahartali , bakalia sources said.
