Chattogram Detective Branch police detected an adulterated ghee factory in Khatungonj business hub of the port city on Sunday night .
On instant raid in the areas, law enforcers have arrested two brothers and recovered huge materials for manufacturing spurious ghee . The detained siblings identified as Md. Kamaluddin and Md Sajjad Hossain of Patiya upazila. Additional Deputy police Commissioner(DB) Alok Biswas told that acting on secret informations, we instantly conducted raid in the area and recovered ghee manufacturing equipments and raw materials from their possession. After interrogation, they confessed these adulterated ghee is being marketed in Chattogram market using levels of popular Baghabari Ghee brand. A case under consumers act was lodged with the Kotwali thana , police said.
