Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) yesterday unearthed a factory which was making adulterated food items in city’s Khatungonj area. The DB police also arrested two brothers – Kamal Uddin, 28, and Sazzad Hossain, 19 – in this connection. Assistant Deputy Commissioner of DB (Public Relation) Alok Biswas, said based on a secret information, a team of DB police raided Ananda Market located at Khatunganj and unearthed the factory and seized a huge quantities of adulterated food items and manufacturing materials.
But sensing the presence of police, other accomplices of them managed to escape from the spot.A case was filed with Kotwali thana in this connection.
