ADP implementation 52.42 pc in 10 months

The implementation rate of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) during the July-April period of the current fiscal year reached 52.42 percent with an overall expenditure of Taka 82,603 crore.
The ADP implementation rate during the July-April period of the last fiscal year (FY17) was 54.56 percent with an overall expenditure of Taka 65,083 crore, according to the latest statistics provided by the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning.
The IMED data showed that out of the overall expenditure of Taka 82,603 crore for this July-April period, Taka 46,479 crore were spent from the GoB fund with an implementation rate of 48.25 percent.
Besides, Taka 31,787 crore were spent from project assistance with an implementation rate of 61.07 percent while the rest Taka 4,338 crore were spent from the organization’s own fund with an implementation rate of 47.08 percent. Talking to BSS, an official at the IMED said they remained very active towards monitoring the development projects from the very beginning of the current year.
The official also said they are hopeful of witnessing cent percent implementation rate in the current fiscal.
The IMED figures showed that out of the overall expenditure of Taka 65,083 crore during the July-April period of the last fiscal year, Taka 43,500 crore were spent from the GoB portion (55.98 percent) followed by expenditure of Taka 17,089 crore (47.74 percent) from project assistance while the rest of the expenditure, Taka 4,494 crore (77.50 percent), from the organization’s own fund.
Among the top 15 ministries and divisions as far as the allocation is concerned, the Power Division made an expenditure of Taka 20,563.79 crore (79.51 percent) during this July-April period followed by the Local Government Division Taka 14,070.66 crore (61.75 percent).
