ADN Telecom and Agni Systems, two of the country’s leading Internet service providers, have partnered with Grameenphone to provide internet service to end-users.
The service was launched on Wednesday at a local hotel.
ADN has been providing Internet service across the nation for years, but did not have the infrastructure to reach users before, ADN Chairman Asif Mahmud said at the launching.
“So far, we have been providing Internet to businesses.”
“Now, using Grameenphone’s infrastructure, we’ll be able to launch a groundbreaking service in the country,” he said.
The WiMax service has been named ‘Go’.
The companies will use Grameenphone’s network to provide the service. Grameenphone’s marketing and distribution channels will also be used to market the service.
