The written test for admission into first year MBBS and BDS courses under 2014-15 academic session for medical and dental colleges of the country was held with peaceful atmosphere on Friday.
The number of centers was 23, including four in Dhaka city.
A total of 69,477 students sat for the written test against 10,299 seats, ABM Abdul Hannan, Director (Medical Education And Health Manpower Development) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said.
The atmosphere was peaceful and credible. No untoward incident took place before and after the examination, said.
Few days ago, the Health Ministry asked the Ministry of Home to take steps to close all the coaching centres until Friday, the date of admission test. The steps were requested to stop frauds and unscrupulous groups from duping admission seekers and their guardians with offers of suggestions and assurance of admission in exchange of booties.
