Admission begins in largest Covid hospital

The country’s largest coronavirus hospital DNCC Dedicated Covid-19 Hospital has started all medical activities including patient admission from today.
Confirming the information on Monday, the hospital’s director Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin said the medical activities of the hospital including patient admission have started from 8:00 am today. The hospital will be fully operational by the end of this month.
“At the beginning, the medical activities of the hospital are starting today with 250 beds. We will turn it into more than 500 beds within next week and we are expected to introduce 1000 beds within this month.”
The hospital director further said that the hospital has an ultramodern Covid ICU bed with 212 beds. There are other arrangements including 250 COVID beds (HDU, Central Oxygen and High Flow Nozzle Canola). There is a 50-bed emergency ward and a six-bed triage bed. Moreover, there are 538 COVID isolated rooms. These chambers will have cylinder oxygen and oxygen concentrators. Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health, arrangements have been made to provide emergency treatment to COVID patients in a total of 1000 beds in the hospital run by the Bangladesh Army.
Besides, the Ministry of Health is arranging 500 doctors, 700 nurses, 700 staff and medicines and equipment to provide medical services in the hospital.
