Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman, 84, administrator of Barisal Zilla Parishad, socio-political leader and owner of Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman Private Hospital, former president of district AL, passes away at 1:00 pm on Monday in Barisal Sher- e- Bangla Medical College Hospital.
He was feel seek at his own residence in Sadar Road area of the city on Monday morning due to old age complications and later rush to the SBMCH.
He left one son and 2 daughters, a lot of relatives and socio-political colleagues.
He would be laid to rest on Tuesday noon at Barisal Muslim Gorosthan after holding Namaje Janaja in the Barisal Govt. Zilla School field.
Dr. Mokhles, a senior politician of the division, was an organiser of liberation war in the region.
He was acting president of Barisal district Awami League from 1987 to 2012 and appointed as the administrator of Barisal Zilla Parishad on December 20, 2011.
