Admin officials inspect Gowainghat shelter project

Sylhet district administration and the Gowainghat upazila administration have inspected the houses built under the Asrayan Project-2 for the landless in Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet district.
According to the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the decision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build houses for every homeless person, a permanent brick and tin house with khas land was constructed for the landless family in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet as a gift of Hon’ble Prime Minister.
on Tuesday (July 6) morning, 4 teams consisting of Sylhet district administration and Gowainghat upazila administration have been formed to inspect the houses constructed under the shelter project in 10 unions of the upazila.
It is learned that Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) of Sylhet Md. Aslam Uddin, is the head of the team inspecting East Jaflong and West Jaflong Unions out of four teams to inspect the houses constructed by Asrayan Project-2 in 10 unions of Gowainghat Upazila with the funding of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. He is accompanied by Gowainghat Assistant Commissioner (Land) AKM Nur Hossain Nirjhar and Upazila Engineer Rafiqul Islam. Gowainghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tahmilur Rahman is the head of the visiting team in Rustumpur, Lengura and East Alirgaon Unions. The members of this team are Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Abu Kawshar and Upazila Assistant Public Health Engineer Md. Yunus Ali.
Gowainghat Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Sultan Ali is the head of the visiting team in Nandirgaon, Toakul and West Alirgaon Unions. The members of this team are Upazila Project Implementation Officer Shirshendu Puro Kayastha, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Abidul Islam,
Sylhet District Public Health Engineering Department Executive Engineer Alamgir Hossain, is on the field as the head of the team inspecting the houses constructed at Daubari and Fatehpur Union. Also present with the visiting team were Nandirgaon Union Parishad Chairman S Kamrul Hasan Amirul, Fatehpur Union Parishad Chairman Aminur Rahman Chowdhury, Toakul Union Parishad Chairman Khaled Ahmed, Rustumpur Union Parishad Chairman Shahabuddin Shihab, West Jaflong Union Parishad Acting Chairman Abul Kalam, East Jaflong Union Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Lutfur Rahman Lebu, East Alirgaon Union Parishad Administrator Shafiqul Islam, Lengura Union Parishad Chairman Mahbub Ahmed, West Alirgaon Union Parishad Acting Chairman Abul Khair and Daubari Union Parishad Members of different wards including Uddin and female members of reserved wards.
