It was recently when Filmfare officially informed you that acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu is planning a multi-starrer for which he has already roped in Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao. As excited we were to hear that, here’s a new update on the project. If the latest reports are to be believed, Aditya Roy Kapur and Taapsee Pannu have also joined the starcast of this multi-starrer.
Aditya will star opposite Taapsee in the film and the same was confirmed by a source to a leading tabloid. The source informed, “Adi has been cast for Anurag’s film that is being made on the lines of his earlier movie Life in A… Metro (2007), but it is likely to have a different title. The team was scouting for a good-looking Gen-Y actor. Bhushan Kumar, who’s producing the project along with Basu, met Adi and narrated the part to him. Aditya has given a green signal and signed on the dotted line.”
It’s for the first time that Aditya and Taapsee will come together in a film. The source further added, “Aditya will feature in the same story as Taapsee. This will be the first time they will be paired opposite each other.
There were reports that the Manmarziyaan actress has been replaced by Fatima, but that is incorrect. In fact, the Dangal heroine has been approached for a different role in the same movie. Unlike the other three stories, Taapsee and Adi’s plot will have a funny take on love.”
Other than Anurag’s film, Aditya Roy Kapur will also be seen in Abhishek Varman’s Kalank and Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.
